The Vault Expert – Nicholas Bertucci: Combat Medicine, PTSD, and a Legacy of Service
Navy veteran and author Nicholas Bertucci joins Patti Katter on The Vault Expert to share his journey from caring for Marines in combat to supporting fellow veterans after military service.
Following a family tradition of service spanning World War I, World War II, and Vietnam, Nicholas joined the Navy in 2007. As a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, he deployed to Iraq in 2008–2009 and Afghanistan in 2010, serving as a Senior Line Corpsman and leading others through demanding combat operations.
His memoir, Rolling Through Afghanistan: Life as a Combat Medic Enduring PTSD, offers a personal look at war, trauma, and his experiences with healing.
